So many people have said, "I'd love to try that wine, but I am not willing to pay X$'s for a bottle that I don't know how it tastes." Research has proven the number one factor in consumer wine purchases begins with the price point. Might I suggest that the average Joe or Jane is not willing to give up their hard earned money without knowing if they like it or not.

A solution is now available to this issue! The "tasting room" can now be brought to the consumer. TastingRoom.com has been kind enough to offer this sample package to Wandering Wino of what a taster might receive. For around $30 (depending), a small package can be sent direct to the consumer to taste six wines at a time. Each taste is 50 ml or 1.7 oz which is a pretty generous taste. These can even be purchased in small bottles that equal a full glass of wine.
The wines vary and the consumer selects their interests, if it is Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, sweet wines, BBQ wines, or a specific region, TastingRooms.com has many options. This is one of those concepts that I look at and just say "yes, this makes sense." This simple concept yet genius approach gets better. If there are wines that the consumer likes after they have had a taste from each wine, they can then order that wine from TastingRoom.com Sometimes the greatest ideas are the simplest ones and I just wish I had thought of it.

The sample of "tastes" I received were from the "A Taste Adventure.....Wines of the World." I had the excitement to taste wines from all over the world from the comfort of my own home. Wines from New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Mendoza Argentina, and a couple of California spots. The individual wines from my line-up are available for purchase between $14.95 - $19.95
In my view, this particular sample would be great for those wanting to see the world from their home in wine. I was able to taste the zingy Sauvignon Blanc of New Zealand, the delicateness of Sonoma Pinot Noir, the famous Malbec from Argentina, and the highly underrated wine from Spain.
I was thinking it might even be fun to get packages like the Santa Barbara Pinot Noir and the Wilamette Valley Pinot Noir to take a deep dive. Which one do you want to taste?
