Cafe Firenze

Celebrity Chef Fabio Vivani and wine director Adam Etch from Cafe Firenze restaurant has paired up with (me) Wandering Wino for their wine by the glass program. I will select my pick for the Wandering Wino pick of the month.

I assure you these wines will not disappoint the 805 wine lover.
Cafe Firenze
Each month I will select a new wine. Should the previous month do well, then it may never leave the list. Look for two montly picks, a red and white in Spring/Summer months.
It is a great honor and excitment for me to be teamed up with a restaurant that I have loved since it opened its doors nearly seven years ago. I still remember telling people that angels sang as I ate my first meal there in 2007.
Since that time there have been a lot of fun and interesting things happening including a wine list revamp with heavy pouring of Central Coast wines. Some of these new additions include wines straight from the Wines That Will Blow Up Your Skirt post of my favorite wines from 2013.

This months pick is from Santa Barbara County and more specifically the Sta Rita Hills. The 2012 Melville Pinot Noir is an elegant and beautiful wine that shows the classic Sta Rta Hills qualities. This expressive wine will pair with many of the amazing dishes (menu) served at Cafe Firenze.

The wine director Adam Etch is bringing some top local wines and aimes to cater to diners a bit more 'in the know' of the local wine scene of our '805.'
Listen to KVTA 1590 (Tom and Sandy 805) Saturdays at 7:00 AM as I share my picks on air. Call in, you just might win a gift card to Cafe Firenze.
