Pinot Noir from Stepping Stone (Cornerstone)

This 2010 Pinot Noir from the Stepping Stone label was produced by Cornerstone Oregon. This sample was sent amongst others recently and I must say there were a few fun and interesting surprises.

Stepping Stone North Coast White Wine

Cornerstone winery is offering a new line of everyday drinking wines at affordable prices. This anything but typical wine sample is a blend of Chardonnay and Gewurtztraminer produced at just under 1,000 cases.

The nose: black pepper, juicy black fruit, and eucliptous.

The taste: big lush blackberry, anise, pepper, with a touch of spice. Once this wine had time to open up, soft tannins and very ...

Each Tuesday night at 6:00 PM on cellarsofsonoma.com there is a winemaker/owner of very small production wines on livestream. Scott Jordon conducts live interviews while tasting the wines together. Getting the wines ahead of time just removes the virtual and makes it reality, as we taste/tweet along (with freinds @tampawinewoman, @myvinespot and @dangod1). The added benefit of signing in with twitter so the hashtag becomes automatic helps take it to the next level.

It is now week three for wine posts from Wandering Wino, and I have to say I'm impressed with the wines. The ...
